Nudibranchs at Percy's Hole On 26 November in the "News" section we presented a number of nudibranchs seen at Percy's Hole. We can now add another species, Thecacera pennigera, to the list of species seen there. This is the first time Peter and Guido have seen this species in False Bay, with Guido having only seen it at Knysna before. It is a globally wide-spread species, with records from Europe, South America, Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. It is quite wide-spread within South Africa as well.

Cuthona speciosa, while not rare, is not often seen due to its small size. A group of them with their egg-cases was rather conspicuous however. Note the orange body colour and compare it with the yellow/green colour of the specimen shown in the 26 November News entry. We have decided to call this species the "candy nudibranch", for its bright, edible colours.
