Pineapple fish Monocentris japonicus The pineapple fish is a tropical species found normally only as far south as Mossel Bay. It can be found in caves and under overhangs, in depths from 10 m to 400 m. The specimen shown was sighted at Long Beach in the beginning of July, but was also seen in December 2004.
