Humpback whales in False Bay
A number of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) (at least 3), were observed having a "whale of a time" with numerous breaches (generally in two's), and lots of tail and fin slapping - the latter could be heard from shore! The group was moving south as a southerly wind set in.

The sequence below shows two breaches in succession, clearly showing that the second one is generally less spectacular.
