Arothron inconditus Bellystriped Blaasop
This species is known from Knysna to East London, where it is not uncommon. It reaches at least 40 cm in length. The individual shown in the top photo was photographed at A-Frame, and was about 25 cm long. We are not aware of any further records of this fish from Cape Town waters, and it is thus, as with many other fishes shown on the SURG website, a visitor, brought in by currents and wind.
