White-edged nudibranch Flabellina capensis
This is a moderately uncommon nudibranch, reaching a length of 20 mm only. It feeds on hydroids, such as that on which it is shown on the photograph, but does also wander around a bit. It can be found on both sides of the peninsula, generally in waters deeper than 10m, further offshore, such as at Coral Garden's or Justin's Cave, or Castle Rocks. It can be found as far as Port Elizabeth, and several have been seen in Knysna.
