Red-banded jellyfish
This jellyfish is not commonly seen by divers. Recently many congregated in False Bay, to the extent that some fishermen had to slow down their boats in order not to foul their propellers. It feeds on larger planktonic animals, and is believed to be a significant consumer of fish larvae.
