Some nudibranchs from Port Elizabeth
The top photo shows another specimen of Bornella adamsi, of which we had a sighting earlier this year.

The second species is the candy nudibranch Cuthona speciosa, which has Port Elizabeth as its eastern distribution boundary, where it may be rare. In Cape Town waters it is much more common, although often overlooked as it is small, and can be found in a number of different colour variations, as shown. In the one image several individuals can be seen together with their egg ribbons.

For more details see "Nudibranchs of the Cape Peninsula and False Bay", now available from SURG and better Cape Town dive shops.
